An ideator and a social entrepreneur, Saif founded Toru, an innovation hub that incubates social innovation to enterprises that ensure greater social and economic inclusion. Toru is dedicated to building the capacity of the youth to develop innovation that are design lead and nurture their technical and entrepreneurial skills by providing knowledge, network, mentors and funding. "Toru is currently assisting 3 early stage social enterprises in education and skill development. This year Toru aims to launch the first ever fellowship in Bangladesh that will help innovators to transform ideas to sustainable enterprise and match them with investments," says Saif. He has had 10 years of illustrious global career in communications & strategy in Media, FMCG, leadership & executive search. He was a founding team member of Dhaka Tribune and a research member of the joint initiative of Heidrick & Struggles and the Economist Intelligence Unit’s project “Global Talent Index.” Saif has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Assumption University and is an Alumni of Mayo College, Ajmer, in India. He is also the founder of British High Commission’s Young Leaders Bangladesh Initiative. US State Department IVLP Alumni and Cordes Fellow. He writes for Dhaka Tribune, The Hindu, South Asia Journal and Bangladesh Brand Forum.
As a Global Shaper, Saif wants to build an enabling ecosystem where Bangladeshi youth can not only develop social innovations but also take them to market to build impactful enterprises to change the lives of the poorest of the poor.
