Dhaka Hub Global Shapers is in a mission
To Make Dhaka City More Inclusive

BUILDING A MOVEMENT

We believe in a world where young people are central to solution building, policy-making and lasting change

The global shapers community is a network of people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional & global challenges. There are 38 hubs across south asia in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Srilanka, Nepal & Afghanistan. Globally there are 6,000 shapers across 378 cities.

WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

In 2011, Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, founded the Global Shapers Community to empower young people to play an active role in shaping local, regional and global agendas. The Global Shapers Community is a non-profit organization registered in Geneva, Switzerland and housed at the World Economic Forum. The Forum’s contribution to the Shapers organization includes significant financial and in-kind contributions for operational support including staff time, technology tools and opportunities to interact and collaborate with its membership network.

PROJECT INITIATED BY DHAKA HUB

The Dhaka Hub is a part of the wider Global Shapers Community - a network of Hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements and their drive to make a contribution to their communities.

It is an initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF), and has various Shapers communities in different cities across the world.
